1. IEEE Fort Wayne Section Facebook and Conference Activity Blog was proposed by Paul Lin for engaging section member on what he learned and saw at the conference: https://www.facebook.com/pages/IEEE-Fort-Wayne-Section/518319168221137.

2. PaulP2013 IEEE-USA Annual Meeting & Sustainability Conference, was held from Aug. 1-4, Portland Oregon: "Sustaining Careers and the Profession" of 210,000 engineering, computing and technology professional who are U.S. members of IEEE. The conference will start out with a day and half conference on "Technology for Sustainability (SusTech)." The conference program can be found at: http://sites.ieee.org/sustech/conference/program/

3. Paul arrived Red Lion Hotel on July 31, one day prior to the conference. While reading Indiana Economic Development Corporation - IEDC Pipeline http://www.in.gov/activecalendar/ , added tech news to the Facebook: Enerdel Batteries - new battery technologies (super lithium-ion solution) developed at Indianapolis, http://www.enerdel.com/ .

4. Paul also gathered and added Portland’s Industry Climate and Business Environment and feed them to the section’s Facebook. 5. IEEE USA SunTech, Aug. 1 morning activity highlights 6:20 PM, 8/1 by Paul Lin
It was a very busy and productive day. I attended the following SunTech paper presentations in the morning sessions, 20 min per each presentation, average number of attendees is ranged from 25 to 36:

6. The lunch started around 12:30 PM, with the keynote speaker, Thomas P. Seager, Arizona State U presented a talk on “Systems Thinking for Sustainability.”

12. On Aug. 2, from 5:45-7:30PM, the Region 4 breakout session was organized and conducted by Region 4 PACE Chair, Tarek Lahdhiri. 18. Aug. 3 Lunch speech was delivered by Julie-Ellen Acosta, Boeing Vice President of Structural Technologies, Prototyping and Quality, Phantom Works, on "Workforce Sustainability through Diversity."
